Andrew Robinson is a 2006 RHP with a 6'2'', 170 lb. frame from Senoia GA, who attends Starr's Mill HS. Andrew has a lean body and an athletic build. Andrew pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action. Andrew pitches with balanced inline mechanics and his arm works well. Andrew uses the lower half of his body well and throws with minimum effort. Andrew has good command of all three pitches he throws; fastball, curveball, change-up. His curveball is an 11/5 - 12/6 sharp curveball with tight spin. Andrew throws a good change-up and maintains good arm speed to add to the deceptiveness of the pitch. Andrew also has good armside life on his fastball. At this event his change-up was his best pitch and used it very effectively to get hitters out. Andrew is a top level prospect and has committed to Georgia Tech.

Andrew Robinson is a 2006 RHP from Starr's Mill HS in Senoia, GA, with a 6'2", 170 lb. frame. He has a long, easy arm action and sound delivery mechanics. Robinson throws in the low 90's with minimal effort and does a very good job of keeping his fastball down in the strike zone. His curveball lacks ideal velocity at 70 mph but has a big, big break that makes it an effective change up and a difficult pitch to hit down in the zone. Robinson uses some sort of unusual grip on his 73 mph change up but gets nasty life on this pitch at times. Robinson has good pitchability and an idea of how to throw strikes and get hitters out. That and his present low 90's velocity is sure to interest the professional scouts next spring. Robinson is a good student off the field and has signed with Georgia Tech.
