Joseph Hage is a 2007 OF with a 6'0'', 185 lb. frame from Coral Springs FL, who attends Douglas HS. He has a very strong, well developed build with nice athletic life. Hage is a very good runner at 6.75 in the 60, 4.43 to first base after a big swing. He didn't throw at the showcase but has shown 90 mph outfield arm strength in the past. Hage is a very aggressive hitter with surprising power for his size. In fact, his aggressiveness means that he isn't really a very good BP hitter and is best evaluated in the games against live pitching. Hage does a good job using his strong hands to hit and stays back on balls well. He drives the ball hard to all fields and the ball comes off his bat hard. His aggressive style of play and speed will mean lots of doubles and triples in the future. Hage is going to hit some home runs to when he gets balls on the inner half. Hage has always stood out at team events and is a winning type of player. He's also a very good student and will be going to school at Florida International.

Joseph Hage is a 2007 right hand hitting outfielder from Douglas HS, residing in Coral Springs, FL. Hage has a strong, compact, athletic build on his sprinter's type 5'11" 174 lb. frame. He looks and moves like a powerful young athlete and was ranked #75 among PG National Top 100 position players. Hage is not a big, physical player but he has power than can get a scout's attention. His bat is quick and his nature at the plate is aggressive. There is little doubt when he swings that Joey Hage is looking to do some damage. He showed that he has no trouble handling high fastball velocity and made quite a bit of hard barrel contact, while also showing the ability to drive the ball in the middle of the field. His barrel stays in the zone pretty well and Hage simply looks like he is going to hit quite a bit, and hit for not only average but for power too. He has an accurate arm with plus raw arm strength, though a longish arm stroke makes his release a bit long. He goes to the ball well and can play any of the three outfield positions, though he just may profile best in right field, though his offense likely will keep him in center. In any case, Hage is a talented young player who does some explosive things on the field. He ran 4.39 home/1st with a 6.82 laser timed 60. He is a high end D1 prospect that looks to be the kind of college player to make an immediate impact, both with his his ability and aggressive, high energy style. There will be some pro interest, but at this point his future sets up best by going to college.

Joseph Hage is a 2007 OF from Douglas High School in Coral Springs, FL, with a 5'11'', 170 lb. frame. Was named to the Top Prospect Team at the event. Hage is an athletic player with good strength and instincts. He has good speed (6.91-60) and quickness that play well on the bases and defensively. In the outfield he gets to the ball well and has range to get balls in the gap. Hage has a strong arm with good online carry and accuracy. He has top level defensive tools that will make an impact. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with an aggressive swing and good bat speed. There is strength in his swing when he drives the gaps, and we think he will hit with more power in the future. Hage stays balanced through his swing with a short bat path to the ball. Hage is a very good all-around player with great upside. He plays very hard, and is a good student as well. Hage is a must follow.
