Alex Gebert is a 2011 RHP/1B with a 6-4 190 lb. frame from Grapevine, TX who attends Colleyville Heritage HS. Tall well proportioned frame, plenty of room to add strength. High leg raise delivery, stays directional and balanced, tends to open lower half early/land open, 3/4's release, some deception. Good arm speed, hard sink/run on 85-88 mph fastball, flashes hard bite on CB but tends to slow arm occasionally. Potential power arm that projects. Shows arm strength at different defensive positions, might have thrown harder off the mound without 3 drill positions. Strong approach at the plate, looks to lift, power potential, has whippy bat speed. Prospect arm and build. Very good student.
