Andrew Garcia is a 2007 RHP/OF with a 5'11'', 180 lb. frame from Miami FL, who attends Miami Christian HS. He has a medium build and some physical maturity and strength. Garcia throws from a low 3/4's release point with a pretty pronounced cross body delivery. His arm works smoothly and quickly with little effort, but his delivery makes him cut himself off out front. Garcia's fastball was steady in the 80-82 mph range and he did a good job locating his fastball to both sides of the plate. His best pitch was a 72 mph change up with nice deception to it. His breaking ball was a sweeping 74 mph slurve. Garcia attacked hitters early due to his ability to spot his fastball and worked quickly and was effective. Garcia also showed good ability with the bat. He hits under control and has the ability to consistently square up on balls and hit them hard to the alleys with a easy line drive swing.

Andrew Garcia is a 5'10" 180 pound 2007 right handed pitcher, outfielder, and first baseman from Miami Christian in Miami, Florida. He has a lean build with good athleticism. Andrew pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a short simple arm action. He is very efficient with his pitches and has plus command of all three of them. He works very quick and is also quick to the plate to slow down the running game. His fastball has cut action at 81 mph while his change up has plus action at 74 mph. His curveball is a plus pitch at 69 mph with sweeping 10/4 rotation. Andrew should become quite a solid pitcher as he keeps maturing.

Garcia is a sophomore right handed pitcher with a mature body for his age. He has a good fundamental delivery and develops some arm speed. Garcia’s best pitch was a 63-65 mph curveball that had tight spin on it and nice depth. His fastball was 75-77 mph and had some life. Garcia did a good job of commanding both pitches and looks like the kind of pitcher who is going to enjoy success on the mound right now in terms of getting hitters out. He should continue to improve if he’s works at it.
