Jason Brock is a big tall LHP from Nolensville, TN. He earned an invitation to the National with his outstanding showing in the PG Sunshine East. His mechanics are a bit raw, but he has a very strong left arm. He threw in the high 80s at both events. The breaking ball needs some work and Jason throws cross body too much, but the raw talent is there. Sky is the limit! Scouts have to pay attention to 6'5 lefties throwing upper 80s with sub par mechanics. There's a lot more in there with some mechanical adjustments. Jason is a very good student.

Jason Brock is a 2005, 6'5" left hander from Nolensville, TN, who earned a trip to the Perfect Game National Showcase based on his performance in Fort Myers. Brock pitches tall from a slow tempo delivery with a loose, short arm stroke. He touched 88 mph on his fastball during four shutout innings of work and pitched in the 84-86 mph range. Brock threw some cutters/sliders at 81 mph that were sharp and late and this is definitely a pitch that can be further developed. His curveball at 74-77 mph tended to be a bit flat on most occasions. Brock also threw a 77 mph change the first couple of innings and a 71 mph change up later. Brock threw strikes with all his pitches and had good pitchability. He has talent, size, lots of quality pitches and is left handed. That’s a pretty good prospect package. He's going to get even better! Jason is a good student.
