Joe Betcher is a 2009 SS/P with a 6'2'', 170 lb. frame from DePere, WI who attends DePere HS. He has a tall, lean build and a young body that is still growing. Betcher is a shuffling/gliding fielder who has soft hands at the ball and a quick, low effort release. He has more raw arm strength than he shows due to his release. Betcher hits from a tall stance with low, almost casual hands. He hit the ball very well during games and showed nice hand quickness and the ability to hit the ball hard to all fields. He has good balance at the plate and the ball came off his bat hard. He projects well as a hitter as he gets stronger. Betcher is a 7.37 runner who should continue to work on his quickness and speed. Betcher is a good student.
