Brandon Rudd is a 2011 C/SS/1B with a 5'11'', 195 lb. frame from Glen Allen, VA who attends Hermitage. Brandon has a thick well-developed build with good present strength for his size. At the plate Brandon has good present strength in his swing and can hit the ball to any part of the field. He is very tight in his set-up at the plate and tends to get choppy in his swing. Brandon will need to work on loosening up some at the plate and leveling out his swing plane. Behind the plate Brandon has solid actions and a good feel for the game. He will need to work on speeding up his release and transfer and improving his foot speed to see his maximum potential. Brandon is a player that could attract the attention of some smaller college programs.
