Chris Whitman is a 2009 RHP/OF with a 5'10'', 165 lb. frame from Downingtown, PA who attends Bishop Shanahan. Chris has a lean athletic build with room to fill out. On the mound Chris has a long loose arm action and throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. He has a live fastball and feel for a solid 11 to 5 curveball and a nice straight change-up. Chris gets in trouble with his mechanics where he doesn't finishes well with his front side, causing his command to suffer. At the plate Chris has a level swing plane and makes consistent solid contact. He gets long with his swing and needs to work on shortening up and staying inside the ball longer. Chris is a solid student that should attract the attention of some smaller college programs.

Chris Whitman is a 2009 RHP/OF from Bishop Shanahan HS, residing in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, with a 5'10"/162 pound frame. Chris pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with loose arm action. He has sound mechanics with a balanced delivery and mixes pitches well. Whitman has a straight fastball at 74 mph to go with a solid 11-5 curveball at 64 mph and a 66 mph changeup with arm side run. Chris hits from a closed stance with a short stride. He has a rotational swing and is a solid opposite field hitter. Whitman is an excellent student.
