Hosmer is a 6-1, 185 lb. sophomore first baseman/left handed pitcher with a plus body for his age. Loose arm on the mound with a fastball up to 83 mph. Smooth defensive actions at first base. Open stance with very good bat quickness and a smooth, fundamentally sound swing. Projects well in all areas. Should be a top guy either way in the 2008 class. Very strong follow.
