Jeff Griffith is a 2009 RHP/SS//3B with a 6'4'', 171 lb. frame from Glen Allen, VA who attends Deep Run. Jeff has a tall lean body that projects to fill out well. On the mound Jeff throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with a short loose arm action and gets a nice downhill plane on his pitches. Jeff's velocity projects fairly well, but he needs to make sure he gets more extension out front and finishes better towards the plate. He has feel for an 11 to 5 curveball and has the potential to be a solid prospect once he fills out and cleans up his mechanics. At the plate Jeff shows good raw hitting tools, especially his quick hands. He tends to swing with only his arms though and needs to get his whole body involved in the swing and work on staying inside of the baseball. In the infield Jeff is light on his feet and shows a quick release on his throws. His tools might best project at third base. Jeff is a projectable prospect that should attract the attention of many mid-level college programs.

Jeffrey Griffith is a 2009 RHP/SS/3B that attends Deep Run HS and resides in Glen Allen, VA with a 6'3", 155 lb. frame. Jeffrey has a lean athletic build with room to fill out. While his 60-time (8.53) was not too hot, Jeffrey showed very good all-around skills and was one of the top hitters at the event. He has very quick wrists and does a good job of keeping his hands inside the ball at the plate. Jeffrey has a level swing plane and hits the ball to all parts of the field. He has the ability to hit at the highest-level in college. In the infield Jeffrey has good lateral quickness with good footwork and a quick release. His arm is very accurate and was probably a little stronger than the velocity he showed. On the mound Jeffrey throws from an OH arm slot with a short simple arm action. He features a good straight CH and a solid 10 to 4 CB. While his command was average Jeffrey was efficient with pitches. His speed is somewhat alarming, but Jeffrey should easily be able to drop his time in the next few years. His overall game is very solid and he should be a highest-level college prospect.
