Scott Heineman is a 2011 RHP/MIF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Pacific Palisades, CA who attends Crespi HS. Nice athletic frame, some present strength. Primary RHP, balanced controlled delivery, clean arm circle. Consistent 85-87 mph fastball, good sinking life low in zone, limited present feel for soft CB/Chg as off speed, tended to pitch backwards. Liked much better as right handed hitter on a short look, very good bat speed, sound balanced mechanics, quick hands, squares it up well, nice looking swing, 6.80 runner. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Oregon.

Heineman has an athletic build, arm works well, little effort, solid mechanics, repeats well, should add velocity, fastball has run and sink, good change with sink, flashed a solid 11/5 curveball, dominated hitters, very good actions in the infield, smooth, good hands, good approach with the bat, goes with pitch, solid contact, has bat speed, comes off when centered. He is also a good student.
