2004 National Underclass Dec 28-30
Bello is a young sophomore middle infielder from Miami who really impressed us with his defensive tools. He doesn’t appear to be a full 5-10 but has good present strength and body life. Bello’s hands and overall balance on defense are excellent and he shows advanced instincts for his age. While his 60 time was not impressive, Bello ranged far to both sides in the middle infield and had very good first step quickness. He has a quick release and solid arm strength. Offensively, Bello hits from a no load approach with very little trigger but generates good bat speed for his size. He has an idea on how to hit and showed the ability to drive the ball both to the opposite field and to turn on the ball. Like in the field, Bello has a confident look about the way he handles himself in the batter’s box. Good Follow.
