Jacob Rosenbeck is a 2005 SS from New York. Rosenbeck is a 6'1" middle infielder who profiles well at third base. His best tool is his LH bat and especially his bat control and approach. Rosenbeck had some great at bats in Fort Myers, including one that he saw between 20 and 25 pitches. He probably fouled off about 15 balls at least before flying out to left field. Rosenbeck is very balanced and compact at the plate and hits smoothly through the ball. He had a couple of game hits where the ball really jumped off the bat. As he fills out his 6'1" frame, Rosenbeck could develop some nice power in the future. Rosenbeck’s fielding tools and skills are more than playable and it looks like he’s a hard worker who isn’t afraid to spend the time needed to improve. He runs well and projects nicely. Jacob is a very good student.
