Brian Coffey (2016 LHP, Las Vegas, NV) was the only primary pitcher to throw this game and he worked four innings, striking out five with a fastball that topped out at 82 mph and a very nice changeup.  We're told that that he learned his changeup from Hall of Famer Greg Maddux, whose son has played on the same team with Coffey in the past.

A couple of tall position players threw and showed two-way potential.  Hayden Luff (2016 OF, Thousand Oaks, CA) topped out at 83 mph and had two solid off speed pitches in his curveball and changeup.  Quinn Waterbury (2016 1B, Prosper, TX) also topped out at 83 and surprisingly threw one of the better knuckleballs we've seen in a while.

Justin King (2016 OF, Okotoks, AB) continued to swing the bat well with a couple of hits, including another hard double to right centerfield.

Alejandro Vargas (2016 1B, Hesperia, CA) drove in a pair of runs with a hard double up the left centerfield gap.

Brenden Wyatt (2016 1B, Farmington, UT) and Braxton Bennett (2016 RHP, Sierra Vista, AZ) each had two hits for the Columbia Blue team, with Bennett picking up a hard double up the left centerfield alley as one of his hits.

Alex Tisminezky (2016 RHP, Las Vegas, NV) turned in a quick three innings of work, pounding the strike zone with a very lively 82-85 mph fastball and a big breaking 12/6 curveball at 70-72 mph. 

Jye Deeble (2016 LHP, Carrara, QLD) traveled all the way to Arizona from Australia and showed well in his three innings of work.  The southpaw topped out at 83 mph with life and showed a strong ability to spin the ball, working from multiple arm angles to create different shapes to his breaking ball.

Donovan McMullen (2016 C, Phoenix, AZ) had a nice game on both sides of the ball, showing athleticism and an accurate arm behind the plate, including a 2.14 game throw, and knocking a crisp single to right field.

Justin King (2016 OF, Okotoks, AB) followed up on his loud batting practice with the hardest hit ball of the game, a crushed double up the right centerfield gap.

Brenden Wyatt (2016 1B, Farmington, UT) and Alejandro Vargas (2016 1B, Hesperia, CA) also had hard hit doubles, with Wyatt's one hopping the left field wall and Vargas' going over the centerfielder's head.

Bret Donner (2016 3B, Sierra Vista, AZ) is an aggressive player with a short and crisp swing that produced a pair hard hit singles and a pair of stolen bases as well.

Alex Cimaroli (2016 SS, Portage, WI) had two quality at-bats, one of which was a hard single to right field, and made the defensive play of the game, a diving catch of a pop up along the left field line from his shortstop position.

Justin King (2016 OF, Okotoks, AB) took a  very strong batting practice, blasting a couple of home runs and consistently driving the ball hard to the right side from a strong left handed swing.

Quinn Waterbury (2016 1B, Prosper, TX) is an angular 6-5/210 left handed hitter with quick loose hands and a short line drive swing for his size.  He handled the barrel very well and peppered the gaps with hard line drives.

Hayden Luff (2016 OF, Thousand Oaks, CA) is another tall left handed  hitter with quick hands and an effective left handed swing.  With some adjustment in his shift to contact he has the tools to really drive the ball hard.

Anthony Amicangelo (2016 OF, Bremerton, WA) is a very good overall athlete with a short right handed swing, almost too short at times, that makes consistent hard middle of the field line drive contact.

AJ Medina (2016 3B, Valencia, CA)  Has a short and quick swing from the left side with good hands and signs of extra base power to the gaps.

Jason Drees (2016 OF, Stevenson Ranch, CA) hits from a very spread stance and gets his weight shifted early to his front side and creates good bat speed and surprising pull power.
