#9 SJB Navy shows a very balanced approach throughout the line up. Each member of the SJB Navy team has collected between 32-45 hits. Stephan Caruso leads the team in extra base hits (13) while Chuck Walker sits closely behind with 11. Colin McCormick tends to drive in the most runs, leading the team in RBI's (16).

As a team, PG Red will need to look to lower their team strikeout totals to advance to the next round.

#10 PG Black looks to tie together big innings using singles. PG Black to this point in th esession has not recorded an extra base hit. Hunter Whinery (2019 RHP, Ely, IA) has been most impressive for PG Black batting .471 with a team leading 6 RBI's and a max exit velocity of 82.3 mph. PG Black will need to tap into their power source to advance into the later rounds of the 16u bracket.

#4 PG Steel has led by the performance of the young Dylan Schultz (2020 1B, Marion, IA). Dylan is young enough to qualify for the 14u age group but has stepped up and lead the PG Steel 16u team in hits (76), RBI's (12) and max exit velocity (83.1 mph). Cade Lisk (2018 RHP, Fairfield, IA) is also be a big part of PG Steel's success if they are to move on in the 16u bracket. Cade has a batting average of .417 on the session with 8 RBI's, second overall for PG Steel.

 #5 BMP Steel is led by some very impressive athletes with tremendous exit velocities. Both Gregory Creamer Jr. (2017 C, Winters, CA) and Zekariah Ikyurav (2018 OF, Elk Grove, CA) are amoung leader in max exit velocites. Creamer Jr. currently sits at 96.6 mph while Ikyurav has a max exit velo of 94 mph.

#3 BJES Black is led by Noah Dellutri (2018 3B, Downers Grove, IL). To this point Noah leads BJES Black in extra base hits (12), RBI's (8), batting average (.479) and max exit velocity (94.7 mph). BJES Black shows a consistent approach throughout the lineup and looks to be a tough out throughout the 16u bracket.

#6 GTSA Black's Alan Underwood (2018 RHP, Port Arthur, TX) seems to supply to most power potential, leading the team in extra base hits (4) and max exit velocity (93.7 mph). All members of the GTSA Black have show good bat speed with max exits velos 88.5 mph or higher.

The winner of game 1 will have an extremely tough task ahead playing the top ranked SJB Steel team. SJB Steel leads every offensive category by a large margin. Kevin Eaise leads the Steel team with 35 extra base hits and 43 RBI's. Dalton Ramsey (2018 1B, Woolwich Twp, NJ) ranks second on the team in extra base hits (6) and RBI's (26). Trey Cumpler ranks thrird on the team in RBI's (16), but that 16 RBI mark also ranks 9th in the entire 16u league.

The second seeded GTSA Navy will prove to be a tough match up for any team. Up and down the line up, GTSA Navy has had very consistent statistics. JP Fernandez, Landon Hilz and Caleb Evans have all at least driven in 10 runs on the session and at least 6 extra base hits a piece.

Top seeded PG Navy is led by Ian Moller (2021 C, Dubuque, IA). Ian has had a great session going 68 for 118 with 17 extra base hits and 35 RBI's. Perhaps most impressive is Ian's exit velocity (92.6 mph) which ranks at the top of the PG location and 3rd overall in the country. Ty Carlson (2021 1B, Muscatine, IA) ranks second on the team in RBI's with 21 and a max exit velocity of 81.5 mph. Coy Sarsfield (2021 OF, Marion, IA), Owen Puk (2021 RHP, Cedar Rapids, IA) and Carlson are all members of the 12u team for last years national playoffs. 

 4th seeded BMP Black will look to Isaiah Haynes for most of the production. Isaiah has collected a .558 batting average with 14 extra base hits, including a home run that travled 341 feet and an eye popping 95.6 mph max exit velocity. Khalis Yusuf (2021 2B, Elk Grove, CA) leads BMP Black in hits (48) and batting average (.593).

#3 BJES White 14u (7-3-2) vs. #2 SJB Steel 14u (8-4)

 The second seeded SJB Steel team is considered on of the favories in the 14u playoffs due their impressive team totals offensively. Despite only 1 extra base hit by the entire team all session, SJB Steel has been able to put up a league high in runs scored (104). Alex Gioia leads SJB Steel in RBI's (40) while Drew Ruehlicke (30) and Zachary Manorowitz (29) sit closely behind. SJB Steel appears to show good balance throughout thier lineup and should provide a challenge to BJES White in round 1.

 Third seeded BJES Whites power threat is supplied by Brandon Sewers (2020 SS, Orland Park, IL). Brandon has collected a team high 15 extra base hits in 72 at-bats during session 1. Jacob Drenthe has driven in the most runs (17) for BJES White, but Jimmy Rybarczyk (2020 OF, Orland Park, IL) does not sit far behind with 11 RBI's of his own. The key for BJES White will be to keep pace with the high scoring SJB Steel team in the early innings.

Game 1

#4 KBP Gold 18u (8-4) vs. #1 PG Steel 18u (10-2)

The first game of the PGNIL 18u playoffs should be a close  one. Each of the teams are in the top 3 for winning percentage, team runs scored,, team hits and team batting average.

The top ranked PG Steel is led by Spencer Van Scoyoc (2016 LHP, Cedar Rapids, IA). Spencer has ended the regular season rankings in the top 5 in extra base hits (16), RBI's (25), SLG % (.754) and OPS (1.200). Spencer has also shown the best exit velocity from the PG location, topping at 93 mph off the bat. Anthony Alepra (2017 OF, Cedar Rapids, IA) leads the team and the league in RBI's (30) while fellow team member Ryan Wyant (2016 RHP, Marion, IA) has the second most total hits in the 18u division with 56.

The 4th seeded KBP Gold team uses a consistent singles approach to put runs on the board. 5 of 6 players in the KBP Gold lineup currently sit with an battting average of .394 or higher. Chase Wilkerson (2018 RHP, Headland, AL) seems to provide the most consistent gap power, leading the team in extra base hits with 8. Jack Knight (2017 RHP, Dothan, AL) has also shown potential game changing bat speed with an max exit velocity of 89.8 mph, 3 extra base hits and 1 homerun that traveled 367.6 feet. Cade Blankenship (2018 3B, Headland, AL) and Jake Killingsworth (2020 C, Headland, AL) each show exit velos in the low to mid 80's with batting averages over .425. Together, KBP Gold proves to be a tough out in round one for PG Steel.

 

Game 2

#3 GTSA Gold 18u (6-3-2) vs. #2 KBP Red 18u (8-4)

 The advantage in game 2 seems to lead in the direction of KBP Red, but the GTSA Gold team shows the ability to put up mutil run innings which could put some added pressure the KBP Red team.

2nd seeded KBP Red is led by a MVP candidate in Jeffrey Omohundro (2016 SS, Dothan, AL). Jeffery has collected an impressive line of stats this session including 42 hits in 80 at0bats, 18 extra base hits, 19 RBI's and a max exit velocity of 94.5 mph. KBP Red will also look to Austin Thrasher (2018 2B, Dothan, AL) currently 17 RBI's and Don Williams (2020 C, Dothan, AL) currently 19 RBI's to drive in runs versus GTSA Gold.

 

3rd seeded GTSA Gold will look to use the long ball to their advantage in round 1. GTSA Gold leads all 18u teams in homeruns totaling 4 for the session. Braxton Boudion leads the team in homeruns (2), while Colton Hart lead the team in exit velocity (96.6 mph). GTSA Gold has the lowest batting average of all teams in the PGNIL 18u playoffs, but can hurt a team easily with their ability to hit the long ball.

Game 1

#5 SJN Navy12u (8-4) vs. #4 BJES Teal 12u (8-4)

The first game of the PGNIL 12u playoffs should be a good one. Both BJES Teal and SJB Navy have 8-4 records in their repective leagues with each team collecting at least 150 runs and 215 hits throughout the session.

The 4th seeded BJES Teal team is very balanced with 4 players having at least 24 RBI's and 5 players with a batting average of .500 or higher. Aiden Morris will be a player to watch this Sunday. Aiden currently leads the BJES Teal with 25 extra base hits in 72 at-bats, 46 RBI's and a max exit velocity of 75.3 mph. Thomas Gasik (2023 RHP, Manteno, IL) will also look to continue his stellar session this Sunday. TJ currently sits at 16 extra base hits and 30 RBI's with a max exit velocity of 73 mph.

The 5th seeded SJB Navy team have also been a beneficiary of a balanced approach with 4 players having at least 22 RBI's ths session. Tim Knoll will be a very important piece of the SJB Navy lineup. Tim currently leads the team in 4 offensive categories including extra base hits (31), homeruns (9), RBI's (42) and max exit velocity (80.3 mph). Nolan Jess has also been impressive SJB Navy so far with 65 hits, 12 being for extra bases and 27 RBI's.

The winner of the #4 BJES Teal and #5 SJB Navy will move on to play #1 BJES Red at 12:45pm on Sunday, December 13th.

 

Game 2

#6 PG Red 12u (6-5-1) vs. #3 SJB Steel 12u (9-3)

The second game of the day may look like an advatage to SJB Steel, but PG Red secured the last remaining playoff spot on Monday evening by beating 2nd ranked PG Navy 12u.

The 3rd ranked SJB Steel team comes into the playoffs with a team average of .465 with runners in scoring position. John Podgorksi leads SJB Steel in extra base hits (18), while Gavin McCaffrey leads the team in RBI's (45) and Anthony Palumbo shows good contact skills with the second best batting average (.486) on the team. Together they have been able to secure the #3 seed for the 12u PGNIL.

The 6th ranked PG Red team is fresh off a big win to secure their spot in the playoffs over #2 PG Navy on Monday night. PG Red tends to use a singles appraoch to put up their runs (55). Kaden Frommelt (2023 C, Marion, IA) shows the most consistent pop for PG Red, recording all the teams extra base hits (7) this session. The Schenck brothers, Carson Schenck (2023 SS, Cedar Rapids, IA) and Cooper Schenck (2023 SS, Cedar Rapids, IA) have produced for the team as well combining for 93 hits and 42 RBI's. PG Red will look to play the spoilers in round 1 against #3 SJB Steel.

 

Game 3

Winner of Game 1 vs. BJES Red (11-1)

Game 3 will certainly be a challenge for #5 SJB Navy or #4 BJES Teal due to #1 BJES Red waiting in this second round game. BJES Red has posted league highs in almost every offensive category including wins, runs scored, team hits and team average.

The top ranked BJES Red team has an incredible 4 players iwth a least 32 RBI's, 3 players with a least 80 hits, 4 players with a max exit velocity of at least 68.4 mph and have managed to only strike out 4 times as a team all session. BJES Red is led by Ryan Skiba (2021 3B, Plainfield, IL) who currently has out of this world numbers including 96 hits, 63 being for extra bases, 8 home runs, 97 RBI's and a max exit velocity of 81.2 mph. Christian Mitchelle (2022 SS, Romeoville, IL) has also contributed 65 RBI's of his own with 81 hits and Brandon Pritchard (2022 SS, Manhattan, IL) ranks 3rd on the team in RBI's (49) and hits (80). 

 

Game 4

Winner of Game 2 vs. #2 PG Navy (9-2-1)

The 2nd ranked PG Navy team comes into Sunday's playoffs with 265 hits, good for 2nd highest in the league. #2 PG Navy has earned a first round bye and will wait for the winner of #6 PG Red and #3 SJB Steel.

12U Division:

Ryan Skiba (2021 3B, Plainfield, IL) Through 2 weeks of play Ryan has 29 hits, 21 have been for extra bases, 3 home runs and 27 RBI's. Has shown impressive, consistent bat speed with a max velo of 79.9mph (ranked 2nd in 12u) and an average exit velo of 71.4mph (ranked 1st in 12u).

Joshua Bell (2022 3B, Chicago, IL) Joshua has posted 13 hits, 9 for extra bases along with 13 RBI's for the BJES Black 12u team from Lockport, Illinois. Josh also currently ranks himself at the top of the max exit velocity list at 82.9mph.

McKade Jelinek (2022 RHP/INF, Marion, IA) McKabe has collected 15 hits and 9 RBI's in 21 at-bats this session. Mckade is currently ranked sixth in average exit velocity at 61.3mph. 

 

14U Division:
