Batting Practice Highlights

Yadian Oliveras (2028 SS, Berea, OH) showed tons of things to like moving forward, as the right-handed hitting 2028 does a nice job of accelerating the barrel into impact. He stays loose with his hands, has good feel for the barrel and projects for additional power as he physically matures.

Jack Sekelik (2028 SS, Oakdale, PA) stayed consistent throughout his round, as the left-handed hitting shortstop produced several line drives through the middle-of-the field. It is a simple, low-effort stroke with good barrel awareness and present bat speed.

Austin Ellis (2028 SS, Pittsburgh, PA) impressed with his propensity to find the barrel during his round, as the twitchy 2028 shortstop peppered the gaps with numerous well-struck line drives. He has good feel for the barrel, tons of present bat speed and projects for power as he continues to mature.

Eli Kurta (2028 OF, West Mifflin, PA) was another impressive 2028, as he impacted the baseball with authority during his round. He stayed connected into launch, has strength in his hands and whips the barrel through the zone with intent.

Brad Bucci (2028 SS, Venetia, PA) was impressive throughout his round, as the left-handed hitting shortstop scorched several line drives from gap-to-gap. He creates easy bat speed, has good feel for the barrel and projects for more power as he matures.

Tanner DeStefano (2028 SS, Irwin, PA) used his strength to produced several well-struck line drives to the pullside during his round. He engages his lower half well to create torque and present bat speed, while showing some feel for the barrel.
