6/10/2017 7:58:41 PM
Reed Smith (2019 RHP, Cypress, TX) showed high level pitching tools and three pitches for strikes. The arm was long and whip-like with good arm speed. The fastball was up to 87 mph and showed occasional life and the curveball showed tight spin and late break at 74 mph.

Arthur (AG) Yowell (2018 RHP, Dripping Springs, TX) is a very tall and projectable pitcher with an easy delivery. Yowell maintained his velocity well through the outing and showed a fastball that sat 79-83 mph and showed both heaviness and dive to the arm side. The curveball showed rapid improvement throughout the afternoon and was a quality pitch overall.

Tyler Lee (2021 3B, Texarkana, TX) has a medium build with athleticism throughout. He has soft hands in the infield with good arm strength relative for his class. He made a number of difficult plays look routine including a nice backhanded play in the 5-6 hole.

Harrison Lee (2018 OF, Austin, TX) made an outstanding catch in left field by ranging to his right. He dove and extended well after getting a good jump on the ball. He showed good bat speed as well as overall athleticism and speed with a stolen base.

Nicolas Ramirez (2019 C, Austin, TX) has a balanced stance and smoked a few line drives to the pull side of the field. Moves well on the bases and showed that he is an asset with good instincts. Pretty athletic in the outfield where he got good jumps and reads on fly balls.

Julian Rojas (2018 C, Humble, TX) has a strong, physical frame and impressed both in the batter's box and on the bases. He smoked two hits including a line drive double laced down the left field line. Rojas also showed strong base running instincts with two stolen bases including stealing third and scored two runs.

Joseph O'Bryant Jr. (2018 RHaP, Spring, TX) worked a strong two-pitch mix, highlighted by his curveball with outstanding depth. He attacked with the curveball that had 12/6 shape and was able to throw the pitch for strikes and garner swings and misses.

Rhett McCaffety (2020 LHP, Houston, TX) made hitters uncomfortable by pounding the inner half with his cutting fastball. The pitch was 80-83 mph and consistently induced weak contact. Showed the ability to pull his hands inside and get the barrel head out in front for hard contact.

Wallace (Tre`) Jones  III (2018 OF, Houston, TX) stands slightly open with an elastic load. He is very athletic and moves well on the bases. Has a very crisp lefthanded swing and drives balls with carry. Jones launched hard hit balls to center and the opposite field which included a double.
