Batting Practice Highlights

Santis Sanchez (2017 C, Las Piedras, PR) is a big and  physically mature catcher with an aggressive right handed swing.  His swing is a bit long but there is serious bat speed at contact and the ball flies off the barrel.

Bryan Lopez (2017 OF, Cidra, PR) is a left handed hitter with a well controlled and well schooled swing.  He worked the ball to all fields with solid line drive contact and showed lots of versatility in his swing.

Jaddiel Feliciano (2017 OF, Arecibo, PR) has a very projectable 6-3/185 build and hits from an open stance with a pull approach and good bat speed.  He squared up the ball consistently with hard contact.

Adriel Acevedo Cordero (2017 2B, Moca, PR) had one of the best rounds of the day.  He keeps his left handed swing short while also being very aggressive and creating lots of bat speed.  He might have squared up every ball he swung at.

Jose Marcano (2017 SS, Humacao, PR) has big physical tools but keeps his swing short and under control and thus repeats it very well.  The ball jumps off his bat with solid mid-field contact.

Shawn Ross (2017 3B, Fajardo, PR) wasn't consistent in his swing approach or his barrel control but when he squared up the ball he showed easy power to all fields.

Ricardo De La Torre (2017 SS, Juana Diaz, PR) has big right handed bat speed and he creates it without much effort.  It's a well timed swing with good lower half use and explosive hands driving the barrel to the ball.

Joel Santiago (2017 C, Yabucoa, PR) has a simple and repeatable swing that aims mid field to opposite field and he executes it very well.  He'll be a high average hitter if he can replicate this approach in the game.

Ian Matos (2017 OF, Toa Alta, PR) has an athletic 6-1/180 build with plenty of upper body strength to drive the ball and peppered the left centerfield gap with hard line drives.
