Kyle Horton (2017 OF, Las Vegas, NV) has a strong
6-3/180 build and a simple and quick right handed swing. He had some of
the best raw bat speed of the day and the ball jumped hard off his bat
with a different sound than all but one or two other hitters produced
Saturday.
Mikie Welch (2019 C, San Diego, CA) is
very strong for a 2019, with a big rock back load and a strong shift to
contact from a spread stance. He's looking to pull and lift the ball and
projects lots of future power.
Connor Barry
(2018 2B, Rancho Santa Fe, CA) has a nice load and good time and
explodes his hands down to the ball well. He showed some pull power and
squared up the ball consistently in a solid round.
Thomas Bainton
(2019 3B, Torrance, CA) has a nice 6-3/175 pound build for a 2019 with
lots of raw hitting tools that should continue to improve with
adjustments and more strength.
Brothers Casey (2017, Spring Valley, CA) and Riley O'Sullivan
(2019, Spring Valley, CA) are brothers of big league pitcher Sean
O'Sullivan and both also right hsanded pitchers. They have also have
two way potential with nearly identical swings, Riley from the right
side and Casey from the left side.
Andrew Semo (2018 C, Coronado, CA) has a simple and strong right handed swing with good present bat speed and lots of future projection.
Peter Dufau
(2019 OF, Camarillo, CA) has plenty of time to add strength to his
6-2/165 frame and has a nice present swing, with lots of strong hand
usage, from which to build from.
Kyle Casper (2020
OF, El Cajon, CA) was one of the more impressive 2020 players today,
with some present strength for his age and an aggressive right handed
swing that created some bat speed and jump off the barrel.
Justin Brodt
(2018 1B, Huntington Beach, CA) is some kind of big at 6-7/230 and he
is one adjustment away from really exploding as a hitter. He flashed
big left handed power and showed good barrel control for his size.
Dylan Aronne
(2017 OF, Dana Point, CA) is a quick twitch athlete who gets behind the
ball well in his swing and attacks it with a short and quick right
handed swing that produced lots of hard pull contact.
Justin Springborn
(2018 SS, Gilbert, AZ) has simple swing mechanics with a well timed and
direct shift into contact and good present bat speed that produced
hard left centerfield line drive contact.
Kenneth McCormick
(2017 C, Seattle, WA) is a Washington commit who showed very well in
defensive drills and also has lots of power potential on offense from
the catcher's position.
Dalton Chandler (2019 SS,
Sammamish, WA) is a long way from physical maturity but already shows
some present bat speed that gets the ball to jump hard off the barrel
and his simple and repeatable approach led to lots of solid contact.
Henry Gargus
(2019 1B, Yakima, WA) stood out in drills and also probably had the
best BP round of the day, showing a very strong and fast left handed
swing that was very well timed from the first swing.
Jonny Soto
(2017 2B, Culver City, CA) has a level swing that keeps the barrel in
the zone for a long time and he's going to square up lots of balls.
With his running speed he's sure to be a high average hitter.
Tiger Adams (2018 OF, Los Angeles, CA) has a very athletic build and a fast left handed swing that produced consistent hard pull contact.
