Cade Bullinger (2016 OF, Boerne, TX) has good promise on both the mound and at the plate. The long projectable Bullinger recored three hits on the day including a double and home run to go along with 2 strong innings on the mound. Bullinger creates good leverage at the dish and gets the barrel moving well through the zone. He sat 81-84 miles per hour on the mound topping out at 85 with a 74 mile per hour breaking ball.
Derek Morrison (2016 1B, Katy, TX) crushed a deep double to center field twice. Morrison had three hits on the day, he has present strength at the plate and has a good presence at the plate.
Branson Audette (2016 C, Katy, TX) put a double into the right center gap. Audette has a strong lower half with good quick twitch reactions to pitches consistently attacking the baseball aggressively.
Trenton Sholders (2016 RHP, Angleton, TX) after an impressive outing on the mound yesterday, Sholders recorded a double.
Hugo Mendiola (2016 SS, Laredo, TX) showed good bat speed knocking a double against Columbia Blue in his second game of the day.
Noel Solis (2016 3B, Brownsville, TX) does a nice job of getting separation consistently hitting the ball hard. Solis had three hits on the day and threw three innings with no earned runs.
Michael Koval (2016 OF, Lucas, TX) had two hits on the day including a double. Koval takes aggressive swings at the plate looking to hit the ball with authority.
Andrew Wood (2016 LHP, Hemphill, TX) tossed 4 scoreless innings sitting 84-86 miles per hour. Wood does a nice job of mixing location and changing speeds keeping hitters off balanced. He also got even stronger as the game went along.
Drake Rainer (2016 OF, Pearland, TX) had two doubles on the day, with three hits. Rainer has quick hands at the plate and is short to the baseball.
