Blaine Smith (2017 SS, Bessemer, AL) had a good showing defensively today. Smith displayed good actions at short with a good first step and a strong accurate arm.
Kelonte Gutrich (2016 OF, Scottsburg, VA) had a couple of hits in the game for the Steel team. Gutrich has a smooth swing at the plate with a sound hitting approach.
Nevan Gillespie (2017 OF, Gilbert, AZ) showed good instincts in the outfield today. Gillespie has a quick first step in the outfield and gets a good read on fly balls.
Jack Harlan (2016 LHP, Groton, MA) topped out at 84mph today on his fastball to go along with his curveball at 68mph and his changeup at 72mph. Harlan pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with a heavy fastball and a good feel for his curveball that he consistently throws for strikes.
Connor Ryan (2016 OF, Irving, TX) had a good day at the plate collecting 2 hits including a double. Ryan has quick hands through the zone with a short compact swing.
Alex Tisminezky (2016 RHP, Las Vegas, NV) topped out at 86mph this afternoon to go along with his curveball at 71mph. Tisminezky pitches from an over the top arm action with an online delivery. He displayed good command to both sides of the plate with sound mechanics.
Noah Cole (2016 RHP, Marietta, GA) has fast arm pitching from a 3/4 arm slot with good tempo. He has good life on his fastball with a big breaking curveball. Cole had his fastball top out at 83mph to go with his curveball at 67mph and his changeup at 72mph.
