The following players stood out during the Royal Teams two 5 inning games at the National South Underclass Showcase.
Steven Svoboda (2017 RHP, Pflugerville, TX) worked four innings and topped out at 83 with his fastball.
Hayden Fails (2016 C, Sweeny, TX) topped at 82 with his fastball in 1 inning of work. He also had a hit at the plate.
Jacob Wyeth (2017 C, Austin, TX) had a huge day at the plate, as he was a perfect 3 for 3 with 2 runs scored showing quick hands in a short compact swing.
Tajh' Nick Bishop (2017, SS, Ashdown, AR) showed the ability to drive the ball with 2 doubles and 1 run scored.
Alonso Armendariz Jr (2016 SS, Rio Grande City, TX), Brice Armistead (2017 LHP, Katy, TX), and Slater Foust (2016 3B, Georgetown, TX), all had a hit on the day.
