The following players stood out for the Orange and Purple team during batting practice at the NE Underclass Showcase
Vinnie Martin (2017, OF, Bergen Catholic HS, NJ) has an aggressive swing with good pull side power hitting two homeruns. Showed a nice line drive swing with lift.
Brandon Jenkins (2017, OF/3B, Sterling HS, NJ) showed solid bat speed and the ball jumped off his barrel. Has strength in swing and the ball really carried off bat.
Frank Vesuvio (2016, OF, Byram Hills, NY) has a loose quick swing with lift, showed strength at contact hitting two home runs during his round.
Jensen Lapoint (2016, C, Cheverus HS, ME) has a strong build and has good barrel control, made hard contact to his pull side.
Conor Moriarty (2016, SS/OF, West Springfield, MA) the UCONN commit showed a fluid swing from the right side getting the barrel through the hitting zone. Squared up balls with best contact to pull side.
