There have been a number of California high school pitchers who have taken major jumps in their ability levels and draft stock this spring, going from strong follows to potential top two round draft picks. We profiled Northern California left handed pitcher Matt Krook a few weeks ago and will take a look at another southpaw, Blake Taylor, next week.

But no high school pitcher in the country has moved up as far and as fast as Southern California right hander Phil Bickford.
