Published: Wednesday, October 13, 2010

With the 2010 major-league regular season complete, all top prospects now back in school, the Pittsburgh Pirates long having secured the top pick in the 2011 draft and the draft order essentially set, we feel the time is right to roll out follow lists of Perfect Game’s top prospects in the next three draft classes. We’ll begin doing so Wednesday.

First up: the top 300 prospects in the 2011 draft class, and the top 200 prospects in the 2012 class.

From there, we’ll ID all the top college prospects in each of the next three draft classes, as well as the top junior-college prospects in the 2011 class. Elsewhere on the site, you can already find Perfect Game’s extensive lists of the top high-school prospects in the 2011 and 2012 draft classes. Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll also provide extensive state-by-state lists of the top prospects in each draft class, in advance of the NCAA’s early-signing deadline in November.
