The 2016 Rawlings Gold Glove Award® Announcement Show will broadcast on ESPN Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at 8pm ET/7pm CT. The one-hour special will be hosted by Karl Ravech along with analysts Doug Glanville and Alex Cora.
The Baseball Tonight special will include interviews from the Gold Glove winners as well as highlights of the top defensive plays during the 2016 season.
Following the ESPN announcement telecast, voting for the Rawlings Platinum Glove Award™ presented by SABR will begin at www.rawlings.com. Fans can vote to weigh in as to who is “The Finest in the Field®” in both the American League and National League. All 18 Gold Glove winners are eligible but fans may only select one player among the 2016 Rawlings Gold Glove Award® winners from each League.
A combination of the national fan vote and the SABR Defensive Index will determine who takes home the honor of each League’s top defensive player.
