The younger Hayes profiles in a similar fashion to his father, both physically and at the plate, with a line drive approach that consistently produces hard hit balls to all parts of the field. Although his professional value is as a third baseman, he's able to pitch in the upper-80s with a sharp low- to mid-70s curveball.
