Charlie Markson is a 2009 OF/IF with a 6'2'', 180 lb. frame from Whitefish Bay, WI who attends Whitefish Bay HS. Charlie is a super athletic OF with an excellent body and big tools. He has a quick arm in the outfield and his throws have good carry and top out at 90mph. He uses his 6.43 speed well in the outfield and covers a lot of ground. He has an aggressive swing at the plate with bat speed and strength. He takes his hands right to the ball very naturally and has gap to gap power. As his bat continues to improve and he gets more experience against top level pitching watch out. He is an outstanding student and a definite 2009 to follow over the next year. There are not many with the tools this kid has.

Outstanding run/throw tools, 6.56 60 on wet grass, plus range in CF, made Web Gem catch in CF. Spread stance, has bat speed, pull approach, solid BP, looked a little raw in games at plate, Could really come on with more experience. Excellent student.
