Nick Castellanos is a 2010 3B/SS with a 6'4'', 210 lb. frame from Davie, FL who attends Archbishop McCarthy HS. Long, lean athletic build, still plenty of room for strength gains. Smooth athletic actions, hands are soft and sure, can quicken release, 3B arm strength. Pull approach hitting, has leverage and lift in swing, very good raw bat speed, tends to drop hands to start bat, aggressive swing approach, looking to drive the ball, top level power tools, runs fairly well. The bat should create some early draft interest. Good student, verbal to Miami.

Nick Castellanos is a 2010 3B/SS with a 6'4'', 200 lb. frame from Davie, FL who attends Archbishop McCarthy. Nick has a great baseball build, clean actions in the infield with solid arm strength. He has a tall stance at the plate, hands short to ball, showed easy loft, has bat speed, leverage in swing, looked good in games, can turn on top level fastball. Very interesting 2010 to watch.

Nick Castellanos is a 2010 3B/SS with a 6'3'', 180 lb. frame from Davie, FL who attends American Heritage Plantation HS. He has a long, angular build that projects very well for his age and he could be really strong when he matures. Castellanos long levers means that he sometimes gets long with the bat but when he stays short and crisp with his swing he shows top level hitting ability. He has lift in his swing and shows power to all fields. During game action Castellanos showed the ability to make adjustments to his swing and hand the bat head. He also looks like he has that hitter's attitude; he exudes confidence at the plate. Defensively, Castellanos has nice arm strength for his age and had smooth actions at third base. His fundamentals were very sound and you can tell he's been well coached and worked at his game. Castellanos is a 7.35 runner. If everything comes together for him he could be a top level prospect in two years, with a bat that could separate him. Follow very closely. Castellanos is also a good student.
