Payton Eads is a 2021 SS/RHP with a 6-3 140 lb. frame from Loudonville, OH who attends West Holmes. Tall and very slender build. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a high hand load, limited lower half drive and direction into contact, short upper body driven swing with a line drive swing plane and middle of the field contact. 7.32 runner, has good first step quickness on defense and shows good range especially when charging the ball makes accurate throws with a quick release. Also pitched, full wind up with a long side step start, low 3/4's arm slot with good tempo to his delivery. Steady low 70's fastball, mostly straight. Slider was his best pitch, had good power compared to his fastball and some late bite and sweeping depth. Also threw a short curveball, threw strikes with all his pitches and challenged hitters.
