Zac Henderson is a 2023 OF/RHP, 3B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends Thomas Jefferson. Tall, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.10 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball to side but charges well and shows sound footwork coming through the ball, quick first step, natural actions, shows accuracy to the intended base. Similar energy in infield actions, accurate throws across the diamond, can continue to refine footwork on the approach, hands play well at the ball out front. Also pitched, side step moving into a knee lift above belt; long and loose arm action through the back, lands on line with some extension out front. Worked around the plate with all pitches, fastball topped out at 81 mph, pitched to contact and mixed with comfort. Curveball is best of two breaking balls, showed 11-5 shape with short bite to the bottom of zone; changeup flashed some sinking life up to 73 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with an open stance and a high back elbow at the plate, loads hands back at start of swing, utilizes a longer stride and swings with intent, occasionally gets onto front foot early. Looks to turn on the ball and create contact to pull side, will continue to refine consistent timing but shows quickness ot hands with nice present bat speed through the zone and jump off of the barrel when squared.
