Andrew Baxter is a 2021 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Thornton, NH who attends Plymouth Regional. Medium frame with long, lean build; lots of projection remaining. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.75 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, compact arm stroke through the back with slight wrap on the back side, spine tilt to get arm up to higher slot, very short stride downhill, fastball worked 70-74 mph with good arm side life, shows feel for curveball in mid-60's with 11/5 shape and moderate depth, did a very nice job throwing strikes. Hits from spread stance with low back elbow, inside-out approach with hand path, gets lower half involved moderately well, shows good contact skills, will improve with strength gains. Worked out at first base, shows solid footwork around the bag with good balance, hands work well, clocked up to 69 mph on throws across. Good student.
