Chris Rey is a 2005 outfielder from Miami Florida with a good athletic body at 6 ft. 1 185 pounds. He has a balanced approach with no stride and a good hand load. He has a nice lofted swing and gets good extension through the ball. He generates very good bat speed and makes solid contact consistently to all fields. He showed some power during BP, and he blasted a home run during the games. Defensively, He showed arm strength at 83 mph with carry. He is sound mechanically, other than he tends to cup the ball on the backside. He did not run the 60, but he showed good foot speed with a 4.47 home to first. He showed very good base running instincts and gets a great jump when stealing bases. Chris is a good student with a very athletic body, and will be a top hitting outfielder at the next level. He has signed with Florida International.

Chris Rey is a strong solid 6'1/180 OF from Miami, FL. He showed very good arm strength and fielding ability from the outfield. He's a player, very athletic with good body control and running ability. He can swing the wood, making solid contact and flashing some good power potential against the top pitchers in high school. He's not a guy that pops your eyes out, but he is a solid player who does eveything very well. He could make a big name for himself at a highest level college. We love the way he plays the game. Chris is a good student.

Chris Rey is a 6'1", 2005 outfielder from Miami, FL, with a strong and projectable baseball body and a good set of tools for the next level. He runs well and has a Major League average arm. His throwing mechanics are very good and his throws are accurate with good on-line carry. Rey is very fundamentally sound at the plate as well. He sets up in a good balanced stance with good hand position. Rey’s bat speed is well above average and he flashed some signs that he’s going to have some lift and extension in his swing for future power projection. Rey looks like a solid high level Division I outfield candidate to us. He could gain some scouting interest as well. Chris is a good student.
