Balanced sound delivery, high 3/4's release, some release effort, long easy arm action, FB steady 90-91 mph with downhill plane, 75 CB nasty at times, nice arm speed on change. Has mound presence and 3 good pitches. Top level prospect. Excellent student. He was named to the top prospect team at this event.

Danny Healey is a 2009 RHP with a 6'2'', 180 lb. frame from Cooper City FL, who attends Cooper City HS. He has a long athletic build with some present strength and the chance to get bigger and stronger. Healey was named to the showcase Top Prospect Team. He throws from an over the top arm action with a long, clean arm stroke and stays on top of the ball very well. Healey had good command of his fastball to both sides of the plate and it had some hop on it at times and boring action at others. His extension out front is very good and he'll be able to add to his movement in the future. Healey's curveball is a big, rolling 12/6 bender that lacks velocity or sharpness right now but Healey throws it for strikes and it's effective. He'll have to work on a sharper, harder breaking ball in the future. We didn't see a change up but know he has one. It's easy to project more velocity out of Healey's arm and body and he'll be a fun one to watch develop over the next few years. Healey is also an excellent student.
