Aidan Jimenez is a 2020 RHP/1B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Nogales, AZ who attends Nogales HS. Medium frame with some strength and athleticism. Ran a 7.22 second 60 yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, works on the mound from a compact and slightly crossfire delivery, takes his arm back to a compact arm action up to a low 3/4 arm slot, could utilize more from his lower half driving down the mound for added arm strength. Fastball is mostly straight and topped out at 77 mph, fastball did show varying life at times from release point, showed a feel for his curveball that has developing spin and 11-to-5 shape, young feel for the strike zone and room to improve. Also took batting practice, righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with an upright stance and a high hand set, takes an early stride into his compact swing, creates some bat speed with an opposite field oriented approach. Good student.
