Jacob Dixon is a 2008 RHP/SS with a 5'10'', 165 lb. frame from Roanoke Rapids, NC who attends Roanoke Rapids HS. He has a medium athletic build with very good body life and balance to him. Dixon has a tall, fast paced delivery with a high and tight wrap in back. He keeps a consistent pace to his delivery and stays balanced through release. Dixon was consistently 84-86 mph with a quick and deceptive arm action and had good late life on his fastball. His breaking ball is a 75 mph twisty slurve that he buried often but that had good spin to it. He needs to develop better feel for his breaking ball and develop a change up. Dixon fielded his position well and showed his athleticism and competiveness. He's a good overall athlete who showed good actions and very good arm strength at shortstop and swing the bat with some quickness and authority as well. His approach to the game and tools play at the next level. Dixon is also a good student.
