Jandy Sena is a 2008 RHP/1B with a 6'5'', 260 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Coral Park HS. He has an extra large frame with very good present strength and the potential to get even stronger in the future. Sena has a high energy delivery that may not help his stuff and command and a quick arm. He flies open early but keeps the ball hidden well in back of his big body and has some deception and good arm quickness. Sena's fastball was 86-89 mph and touched 90. It was heavy at the plate and looked like was faster because of the deception in the delivery. He threw lots of strikes with his fastball and used it aggressively. Sena's off speed stuff is still in the developmental stage; he threw a curveball, slider and change up at different points. He should have the ability to throw a power curveball or slider with some instruction and work. Sena also shows prospect ability with the bat because of his power. He has a deep load to his swing and a long upper cut swing plane. He can drive the ball long and hard to the middle of the field when he gets hold of one. Sena will have to watch his body as he gets older but he's a good athlete for his size with some big tools.
