Michael Morrison is a 2020 C/IF, OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Salem, VA who attends Salem. Large and strong frame. Ran a 7.01 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, worked out behind the plate with a side saddle stance, receives the ball out in front and comes through it well, solid fundamentals using a compact arm action into throws and a clean transfer, easy actions with carry to throw downs up to 77 mph from behind the plate. Secondary infielder, fields the ball out in front and charges well, makes plays most smoothly to glove side, actions play best at third base. Also worked out in the outfield, clean footwork and moves through the ball well, takes a loose arm action into throws up to 84 mph from the outfield, versatile player defensively. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with a wide base and a high hand set, takes a leg lift trigger into contact, has a loft to his swing path, looks to life and will continue to unlock more pop with adjustments to his lower half, best contact shown to the middle of the field.
