Shawn Germann is a 2006 catcher and first baseman with a 6'2" 195 pound frame from Bluffton, South Carolina who attends Bluffton High School. He has a thick body which is athletic. Shawn has good strength in his swing. He makes solid contact and stands tall to get him good leverage. He is slightly open to start with and attacks the ball diving into the plate. He is very aggressive and punishes mistakes. Germann has a good arm which he showed by throwing 76 mph during the workout. He blocks balls in the dirt very well and is quick on his feet.
