Topher Gould is a 2020 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Cincinnati, OH who attends Sycamore. Large frame with broad shoulders, projectable strength. Ran a 7.90 second 60 yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, balances on his back leg at balance point bending at the waist, comes down the mound landing slightly closed off to the plate, takes his arm back to a long arm action, comes through arm stroke with a higher front side as the arm works through the back, drives some off of the mound. Fastball topped out at 80 mph with riding cutting action to the plate, mixed in a curveball with 12-to-6 shape, commanded the zone well with both the fastball and the curveball. Secondary third baseman, worked out in the infield flashing a clean transfer from glove to hand, takes a long release into throws across, carry to throws releasing from a low arm slot, topped out at 80 mph across the diamond. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with a high back elbow, takes a big leg lift trigger into contact, long swing path flashing a flat barrel path, best when staying through the hitting zone and working barreled contact to pul side.
