Tyler Mills is a 2022 SS/RHP with a 5-8 151 lb. frame from Sweeny, TX who attends Sweeny HS. Young frame with some athleticism to build and room to add in the future. Ran a 7.32 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary shortstop. Smooth footwork through transfer. Soft funnel out front and up to the body. Developing arm strength with soft but accurate carry over to the bag. Throws topping out at 71 miles per hour during workouts. Switch hitter with a an even stance and a high hand set. Utilizes a high leg lift trigger for timing. Long swing path to the ball. Generates some leverage out front when on time with the ball. Repeats mechanics well on both sides of the plate. Righthanded pitcher with a small rocker step delivery into a medium leg lift at the belt. Long arm action in back and releasing from an extended three-quarters arm slot. Generates some sinking action on the fastball topping out at 76 miles per hour. Curveball with an 11-to-5 shape. Works to both sides of the plate with feel for pitches. Good student as well.
