Meacham Sewell is a 2022 RHP/1B, 3B with a 5-9 200 lb. frame from Odessa, TX who attends Trinity. Medium, broad shouldered build with present strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 8.58 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, begins delivery with a step back before working into a high leg lift above belt, slight cave on backside during gather, works down the mound and lands open with strike full. Full arm action through the back side, gets to a three-quarters release point out front at release. Fastball topped out at 74 mph, mostly true in life and works on top of the ball, creates some angle when getting to glove side. Occasionally mistimed but flashed running life in on hands of hitters. Comfort throwing the curveball and doubled up at times on the 11-5 shaped offering up to 62 mph. Fields ball close to body in the infield, full arm action through the back, gets on top of throws and shows carry with accuracy across. Righthanded hitter, begin with a wide base and a medium hand set at the plate. Upper body dominant swing, loads hands at start of swing and shows a full path through the zone. Short through the point of contact, looks to pull the ball at point of contact. Good student.
