Jacob Mainer is a 2022 3B/RHP with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Hanford, CA who attends Sierra Pacific. Large physical build with room to still strengthen as he continues to develop. Primary infielder, stays in front of the ball well, fields out in front. Simple mechanics that help him to make the routine play consistently. On the mound, has a long arm action that comes up to a high three-quarters slot. Side steps into a mid leg lift. Teeter totter type of separation. High front side woks hard to drive down the hill. Fastball up to 76 mph, possesses some natural arm side run to the plate. Mixes in an 11-to-5 shaped curveball with good depth to the plate. Also throws a 67 mph off-speed pitch. At the plate, uses a conventional stance with a leg kick trigger. Middle of the field approach, frame suggests his bat speed will continue to improve. Excellent student in the classroom as well.
