Garrett Slippy is a 2020 C/RHP/1B with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Kent, OH who attends Theodore Roosevelt HS. Tall and projectable frame, long legs with plenty of room to fill throughout with time to do so. Ran a 7.61 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, higher set in crouch, receives out in front, long release that will get quicker with growth, arm projects behind the plate with good accuracy to bag, 2.14 second best pop. Righthanded hitter, big flow into load moving hands back deeply, inside hand path with a flat plane of the barrel to the ball, still developing bat speed at this time, middle of the field approach flashing some carry when on time, needs to get stronger for added pop off of the barrel and likely will as he is still a sophomore. Good student.
