Sam Sitzman is a 2022 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-4 195 lb. frame from Lafayette, CA who attends De La Salle HS. Recorded an 8.39 second 60-yard dash time. Extra large frame with broad shoulders and tons of room for physical projection. Primary righthanded pitcher with a side step into the delivery. Leg lift up past the belt and drops and drives utilization of the lower half. Fastball up to 69 mph with some sink and has a 10/4 sweeping slider. Lots of strikes and maintains velocity well while getting to both sides with effectiveness. Secondary first baseman with a tight arm stroke and deliberate actions. Gets through the ball well and attacks different slots with intent. Righthanded hitter with an open stance, high hand set, and high back elbow. Direct path to contact with a hand pump as a timing mechanism. Has some juice to the pull side and features a big leg lift trigger into the swing. Good student.
