Ethan Stanley is a 2021 C with a 6-2 140 lb. frame from Sanford, NC who attends Lee County HS. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a long and lean, projectable build, young look with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.51 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, receives the ball out front with two hands, pops tall out of crouch and gains short ground with lower half, short arm actions with a tight release on throws down to second base, arm strength will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, begins with an even base and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a short leg lift trigger for timing moving into contact. Short weight shift through lower half, strides on line into contact, stays short to contact with a full finish through the zone. Contact oriented approach and projects with additional strength, worked pull side well with occasional lift out front at point of contact.
