Justin Perez is a 2019 OF/ with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Brooklyn, NY who attends St. Edmund Preparatory. Medium frame with an athletic build. Projects for additional strength. Ran a 7.50 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with aggressive footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling with quick exchange through transition. Loose arm circle at separation and released from a three-quarters arm slot. Throws generated some carry to the bag with developing accuracy, topped at 70 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, even stance and high back elbow set. Simple front side trigger and works into contact with rotational lower half actions. Simple, loose path to contact and utilized a line drive barrel plane through extension. Primarily worked to the middle of the field, but showed the balance and hand skills to work to the opposite field as well. Flashed bat speed with occasional strength when working to contact out front and creating lift through extension. Good student as well.
