Mason Musgrave is a 2020 RHP/2B, 3B with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Riverdale, CA who attends Riverdale. Lengthy build with a long arm action from a high three-quarters slot on the mound. Reaches down and back into separation. Some cut to his 82 mph fastball. Bigger shaped 12-to-6 to high 11-to-5 curveball that possesses some depth. Also mixes in a 69 mph straight changeup. Likes to mix with all three pitches. From the infield, has quick feet with solid glove work. Gathers well and transfers quickly to his throwing motion. At the plate, uses a high leg kick trigger and is able to create some leverage. Present bat speed that gets the barrel out in front on the inner half. Projectable point of contact with coil between his lower and upper half. Fantastic student with a 3.9 GPA.
