Jaedon Layne is a 2023 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-5 123 lb. frame from Sandy Springs, GA who attends Riverwood. Compact and athletic frame. Ran a 7.27 second 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, worked out at the position with quickness to his movements, present quick-twitch, fields the ball out in front, uses a full arm action up to a high 3/4 arm slot release, young arm strength at present but shows plenty to like as he adds strength. Secondary left-handed pitcher, stretch only delivery, loads on his backside and uncoils as he works to the plate, takes his arm back to a compact arm action up to an over the top arm slot, hides the ball well through the back, fastball topped out at 63 mph with a developing curveball. Switch hitter, slightly open stance from the right side, all fields approach with upper half dominant actions, high back elbow from the left side with developing bat speed, line drive swing plane and middle of the field line drive approach from the left, shows feel from both sides just needs to continue to fill out physically.
