Ryan Flake is a 2020 LHP/1B with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Liberty Hill, TX who attends Liberty Hill. Large frame with broad shoulders and present strength. Ran a 7.82 second 60-yard dash. Primary lefthanded hitter with an easy effort and on line delivery to the plate. Long and full arm action in the back into a high three-quarters release. Utilizes some drop and drive actions down the mound. Creates some arm side run on the fastball up to 76 miles per hour. Lands a 2-to-8 shape curveball for quality strikes on the edges of the plate. Worked out defensively as a primary first baseman. Fields the ball out front with soft hands and a clean funnel. Loose arm action in the back getting on top of throws. Has some carry topping out at 75 miles per hour. Lefthanded hitter with a wide base to start. Utilizes a short leg lift trigger for timing. Smooth swing plane through the zone. Works to the pull side with line drive contact. Very good student as well.
